What should I expect during my consultation?

Your consultation will help you to determine if breast reduction surgery is the right choice for you. During your consultation, your doctor will explain the full procedure to you and will ask you several questions including:

  • Do you have any drug allergies?

What should I expect before my breast reduction surgery?

Before your breast reduction surgery, you may be asked to get lab testing or a medical evaluation, take certain medications or adjust your current medications, stop smoking, and avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, and herbal supplements that may increase bleeding.

What should I expect after my surgery?

You will be instructed to ensure that your surgical incisions are not subjected to excessive force, abrasion, or motion during your recovery. Your doctor will also instruct you regarding the proper care of the surgical site, the use of medications to aid healing and reduce the potential for infection, and your overall follow-up care.

What will my results be like?
